Filter Bubble

Filter Bubble
Acrylic drawing on supermarket deli paper and receipts, variable, 2020.

Filter Bubble was a project developed during hard lockdown in 2020, a time of physical isolation that mirrored a growing sense of intellectual and digital enclosure. The series comprises 14 hand-drawn works, selected from a larger group of around 50 created over three months. With no access to proper materials, I drew on used supermarket deli paper.

Each drawing became a kind of personal map, shaped by a steady stream of podcasts and YouTube videos. Psychology, philosophy, artist talks, AI, Disney, Biblical stories... disparate themes that, when layered together visually, revealed uncanny connections.

All works are hand drawn using an airbrush on used supermarket deli paper, wrapping paper and grocery store receipts.
